The detail
Good to know
- Cliamo Stage pulls today’s service and the next two when it opens and whenever it comes back online.
- Once a service has been pulled, it keeps working with no connection.
- Speech is turned into text on your PC with a model that works offline. For this feature no audio or transcript is sent off the PC.
- A one-time download of about 142 MB the first time you turn it on. The speech model comes from a third-party host.
- It uses the PC’s processor, and you choose how many processor threads it uses.
- Stage pulls today’s service and the next two, including files, when it opens and when it reconnects. Large files can be skipped until you press Pull again.
- Choose a service on another day and run it. A day you have not pulled needs a connection first.
- If Stage closes unexpectedly, what was recorded up to the last moment is kept and shown as Recovered the next time it opens.
- The Console has Light, Dark (true black) and Match Windows themes.
- PowerPoint is shown from the AV PC. Cliamo Stage shows .pptx and .ppsx files when Microsoft PowerPoint is installed and signed in on that PC. Each deck is converted to a PDF render first, so animations, transitions, hidden slides and media inside slides are not carried.
- Video and audio play from the PC. Common formats such as MP4, WebM, MP3 and WAV play straight from the drive. Cliamo Stage tells you when a file will not play on that PC.
- Linked files stay on the PC. A file you link from the AV PC stays on that PC and is not uploaded.
- Any service day can be run. Choose a service on another day and Cliamo Stage runs it, with a clear “Not today” banner so it is not mistaken for this Sunday.
- Windows only. Cliamo Stage is not available for Mac, iPad or Android tablets.
- One Bible version today. The World English Bible, built in and searchable offline.
- Every screen shows the same picture. With more than one display, each one mirrors the others. A screen cannot show different content, and there is no stage or confidence monitor.
- Recordings are saved on your AV PC. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to. A recording goes to your sermon library only when you upload it.
- Not in Cliamo Stage. Lower-thirds, slide transitions and livestream overlays.
- Works offline once a service is pulled. The first time you use it, the PC needs to be online to pull the service. Bible reference suggestions (beta) also need a one-time download the first time they are used.
On the desk
- Link a file from this PC. One button links a PowerPoint, PDF, picture, video or audio file from a folder or a USB stick, in the Files tab or on an order of service item. It stays linked. A prepared service still works if the stick is unplugged, because Cliamo Stage keeps its own copy; video and audio play from the drive.
- Video and audio with a monitor. A video or audio file plays on the Output with its controls in the Console and a small monitor of what is playing. With more than one screen they play in step. Choose where the sound goes, whether it loops, and what happens when it ends in Settings.
- Find any file. The Files tab filters by Videos, Audio, PowerPoint and PDF, and Other, and has a search. Turn off “This service” to see every file this PC knows about, each with its service and day.
- Run any day’s service. Pick a past or future service and run it like today’s, with its order of service, setlist and files. A “Not today” banner stays up while you do.
- Pick a Bible reference. Book, Chapter and Verse choices sit beside the typed box and stay in step with it. Choosing one shows nothing on screen until you present it.
- Bible reference suggestions (beta). Stage listens for references like “John 4:1” and offers them for you to approve. Runs on your PC. Works best with clear audio and won’t catch every reference.
- Detect reference (beta). With listening on, press F8 (or the Detect reference button) and Stage looks for a Bible reference in the last 12 seconds of speech. Nothing appears on the screen until you press Approve. It works best with clear audio and won’t catch every reference. English only. Bible reference suggestions are in beta.
- Sermon notes. Type notes for a service, or keep them as general notes for any service. Present them with headings, lists, bold and italic, split into slides where you choose, on the usual background, a colour or a picture of your choice.
- Collapse the order of service. Each section folds away, with Collapse all and Expand all. A folded section that holds the screen is marked ON SCREEN.
- Your drafts are kept on that PC. Your drafts are saved as a copy on that PC and recovered the next time Stage opens. That covers songs written on the PC and not yet saved to Cliamo. Quitting with such songs asks first.
- Record the sermon. Record from the mixer on the AV PC, with Pause and Resume. The recording is saved on that PC, and if Cliamo Stage closes unexpectedly it is recovered the next time it opens.
- Keep or delete a recording. Save a copy of a recording to a folder or a USB stick, or delete one you no longer need.
- Upload it to your sermon library. Upload a recording with a title, preacher, date and description. If you can publish sermons it goes to the library and you can send members a notification; otherwise it is saved for an admin to review and publish. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to upload it. Uploading needs a Cliamo email-and-password sign-in inside Stage.
- Set the size and weight of the words. Make the text on the screen larger or smaller, and lighter or bolder, in Settings. Restore default puts it back.
- A narrow Files tab still fits. When the Files panel is narrow, its buttons turn into icons so file names keep the room. Each icon still shows its name when you point at it.

Questions (17)
What can I project?
Songs and lyrics from your team’s set list, Scripture, PDF slides, PowerPoint (needs Microsoft PowerPoint on the AV PC), pictures, video and audio, and quick text slides. If you use Cliamo kids check-in, pickup alerts show on the same screen.
What if a song has no lyrics?
It shows only its title. Add the lyrics to the song in your worship library and it updates on the next sync.
What if the AV PC is offline when I upload something?
Cliamo Stage syncs when it opens and whenever it comes back online, so the file arrives as soon as the PC is next connected. If it is needed sooner, there is a Pull button on the desk.
Do I need the internet during the service?
Not once the service has been pulled down. Services, songs and files are kept on the machine, so it keeps working offline. Bible reference suggestions (beta) need a one-time download of the speech model (about 142 MB) the first time they are used; after that they work offline too.
Who can upload files to a service?
Whoever manages Service Files for your church: an admin, or someone given that access. The same upload works on Cliamo Web and in Cliamo App.
Can it show a PowerPoint file?
Yes, from the AV PC, when Microsoft PowerPoint is installed there. Link the .pptx or .ppsx file on that PC and it is converted to a PDF render, so animations and media inside slides are not carried. The file stays on the PC and is not uploaded.
Can it play video or audio?
Yes. Link a video or audio file on the AV PC and it plays straight from the drive. Common formats such as MP4, WebM, MP3 and WAV work, and Cliamo Stage tells you when a file will not play on that PC.
Can Stage record the sermon?
Yes. Choose your mixer or another audio input in the settings, then press Record, with Pause and Resume to hand. The recording is saved on the AV PC. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to: Upload sends it to your church’s sermon library if you can publish sermons, and you can send members a push notification; otherwise it is saved for an admin to review and publish. Uploading needs a Cliamo email-and-password sign-in inside Stage. You can also save a copy to a folder or a USB stick.
Can I present a service on another day?
Yes. Choose a service on any day and Cliamo Stage runs it. A clear “Not today” banner shows while you do, so it is not mistaken for this Sunday’s service.
Does Cliamo Stage work on a Mac or an iPad?
No. Cliamo Stage is a Windows app.
Which Bible versions does it have?
One today: the World English Bible, built in and searchable offline.
How do Bible reference suggestions (beta) work?
It is a beta. Turn on listening in the Console and Stage offers the references it hears, such as “John 4:1”, with the verse text. Nothing is shown on screen until you press Approve, and you can dismiss any suggestion. It runs on your PC, in English with the World English Bible. It works best with clear audio and won’t catch every reference. Like the rest of Cliamo Stage, it needs Windows.
Can I show it on a projector?
Yes. Output fills a second display. With only one screen, turn on “Present on this screen” in the settings.
Can it show on more than one screen?
Yes. By default every screen except the one with the Console shows Output, and a screen you plug in joins by itself. In the settings you can choose which screens show it. Each one shows the same thing. One button at the top turns all the displays off and back on without closing anything, and it asks first if something is on screen.
Can the screen show a countdown to the service?
Yes. Before the service you have selected starts, the screen counts down to its start time, from an hour out by default. You can change how early it appears, or turn it off, in the settings. It uses the PC’s own clock, so the PC’s date, time and time zone need to be right.
Where do I download it?
Inside your church’s admin area, after you sign in, under Devices. There is no public download link.
Does it update itself?
Stage tells you when an update is ready and lets you choose when it installs.
